WHAT IS  DELAMIBRANDS

PT Delami Garment Industries is a specialty apparel retailer and manufacturing company incorporated in 1979 in Indonesia. An internationally recognized multi-brand fashion company, PT Delami is committed to providing great styles, great fits and high quality apparel and accessories for men, women and junior customers. Within a market looking for fashion pieces that fit the lifestyles of modern men and women living the fast and busy city life, the company stands as a strong answer which quickly gained acknowledgement, trust and huge followers within the fashion industry.

Under the leadership and strong visions of founder Johanes Farial, in 1979 PT Delami launched WOOD and John Far in Indonesia and began distribution nationally. By 1984, the Company acquired the brand Executive 99, which quickly placed them as a market leader within the men’s wear industry. In 1987 PT Delami began to export products into the U.S. market and gained the trust of well known golf brands such as La Mode, Aureus and the highly exclusive PGA Tour. Soon, the Company was invited into a joint partnership with C Itoh Trading House of Japan and started the productions of sportswear (golf pants) for the U.S. market. This is soon followed by the manufacturing of women’s wear for the Japanese market in the same year. These back to back successes were continued by an expansion to the European market where the Company was trusted to produce for brands such as Eddie Bauer, Nike, Red and Green, The Northface, Marks & Spencers and many more.

In 1994, having gained an international reputation as one of the leading manufacturing companies, PT Delami attained the productions, marketing and distribution licenses from Wrangler Jeans in Indonesia. As their business grew internationally, the Company saw the need in Jakarta of a brick and mortar store where fashionable and durable apparel and accessories pieces can be accessed and purchased easily by men and women living in the city. Understanding this need the first shops of Wood and Et Cetera opened in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1995.

In the year 2000, the Company received the prestigious recognition of international quality standardization ISO 9001. In the same year the Company’s brand Executive 99 launched its women’s collection and the brand is later renamed as The Executive.

PT Delami continued on to expand its business by listening attentively to market’s needs in the fashion industry. In 2003 it acquired and revived the brand Color Box, infusing great styles into the brand. The year 2008 the Company became a Licensee for the international brands Jockey and Lee. The following year in 2009 PT Delami opened its 100th store in Indonesia, surpassing its competitors and marking its strong hold in the market.

Consistent with its position as a leader in the fashion and manufacturing industry, the Company utilized the most updated Computer Aided Manufacturing Technology to enhance production efficiency and to ensure best cuts and cutting consistency in minimum production time. In the year 2015 the Company opened its Apparel Factory in Purbalingga, Central Java, Indonesia.
